Factory-fit look

We have carefully designed and engineered our high roof conversion to integrate seamlessly with the existing lines of the base vehicle, preserving its aerodynamic qualities as far as possible. The result is a factory-fitted look which preserves the original aesthetic while adding much-needed interior space and headroom.

One-piece moulding

Each of our Toyota Alphard high roof shells is manufactured in our North Yorkshire factory and subject to a strict quality assurance process. The roof shell is a one-piece moulding which eliminates the risk of leaks, and ensures a well-insulated and draft-free interior for maximum comfort. The shell is supported by a robust box frame attached to the vehicle at multiple mounting points for safety and reliability in transit and when parked up.

Fully customisable

Each high roof conversion can be further customised to meet your specific needs and preferences, with a range of options including interior lining with high quality, hard-wearing carpet, the addition of side windows for additional light and visibility, a roof vent to provide ventilation, and colour coding to match the extract tone of the existing paint job for a seamless look.

Extended warranty as standard

We want our customers to be confident in the longevity of our Toyota Alphard high top roof conversions and the quality of the conversion and installation process, which is why we offer an extended 5-year warranty with each high roof sold. We don’t let any newly manufactured high roof leave the factory if we wouldn’t be happy installing it on our own camper van.

Installation options

The installation process for a high roof camper van conversion requires removal of a large part of the original roof, and for that reason we strongly recommend either contacting us to book in factory installation or engaging one of our trusted network of verified suppliers, for a qualified local installation service.

Do you offer custom-built roofs?

We don’t offer a custom commissioning service for one-off roof designs, as our meticulous design, development and quality assurance process would make this prohibitively expensive. However, we offer several customisation options (depending on the individual roof) including colour-coding, windows and openings, interior carpeting and integrated bed boards.

Can I purchase a roof online?

As all our roofs are professionally installed, and usually customised to some extent, we don’t offer a “buy online” option. To place an order, use our online configurator or fill out the enquiry form on the relevant product page, and we’ll be in touch to advise you on the price and recommend the closest approved installer. Billing will then be handled directly through your installer.

Do you sell roofs as kits for self-assembly?

We don’t sell roof kits directly to our customers, as we’re committed to guaranteeing the quality of the installation by carrying it out in-house or via our approved installers — allowing us to offer a comprehensive 5-year warranty. The one exception is for our Land Rover Defender elevating roofs, as the unique nature of the vehicle makes this a much easier home installation.

I can’t find my vehicle listed – are there other roofs available?

Yes, there are a number of cases where a roof designed for one model will fit another model perfectly — sometimes even a different make and model. This is due to manufacturers sharing platforms, meaning the same Drivelodge roof will fit any model with the same roof shape. Get in touch to learn if we have an existing roof compatible with your vehicle, or one in the design process.

When can I drop off / collect my vehicle?

If you’d like to have your new roof conversion carried out at our North Yorkshire facility, then you’ll need to arrange this in advance with us, at which point we’ll discuss the best time for delivery and collection. If you’re using one of our dedicated network of approved installers, then you should deal with them directly to schedule the best time to drop off and collect your vehicle.
